Firm Experience & Design Approach
Our
work and professional interest includes Projects at all scales ranging
from Urban Design Master Planning to Institutional and Commercial Projects
as well as to the design of multi-family housing and single-family residences.
We have successfully addressed an equally wide range of building types
and settings from the urban high-rise to the traditional village center
and beyond to the isolated rural week-end house. Commensurately, we are
poised to respond with equal ease and competence to the design of buildings
and communities in traditional historical vocabularies or in cool abstraction
-- as the unique character and specific setting of each Project demand.
Whether addressing a simple house design, the requirements
of a police station or other highly complex institutional program or
the demands of a town or regional plan, we approach our work with sensitivity
and with a keen interest in supporting every aspect of anticipated project
use and experience.
Since 1980 our Firm has produced pioneering work in pedestrian-oriented
Community Design, committed to achieving s strong and meaningful sense
of place of historical resonance and lasting quality within its particular
regional context. Our work has garnered numerous commendations and Awards
and today can be described as on the cutting-edge nationally and internationally
in Architectural and Urban Design.
Each Project undertaken is accorded the study and specific
response it requires. Every Project is approached with a concern for
feasibility and viability welcoming the collaboration of the complimentary
disciplines of construction and economic analysis.
